New York has been named the world’s coolest holiday destination for 2018 by British holidaymakers.
Other ‘cool’ places which made this list are Iceland, South America and Paris.
Eight out of 10 of the people who took part in the survey said: that a destination has to have a completely different culture in order to be considered cool and they also needed to attract great reviews from travel writers and influencers.
With that in mind, we took a peep around Instagram to find our most fave ‘instagrammable’ places in New York!!
1. Cha Cha Matcha
Cha Cha Matcha was Co-founded by Matthew Morton and Conrad Sandelman who met in college at New York University. After graduating in 2015, they travelled around the world, eventually stopping in Uji, Japan.
Inspired by the people, passion and warmth of Uji, they returned to Manhattan and opened up their own matcha shop.
2. The Rockefeller Centre
The Rockefeller Centre is a national historic landmark in the heart of Midtown Manhattan. It is bursting with attractions and you can take in the view of New York from Top of the Rock.
3. The Flatiron Building

4. The Williamsburg Hotel
This influencer shows how it is done, with this amazing capture of the views from the rooms at The Williamsburg Hotel in North Brooklyn. Wow, just wow!
5. Taiyaki NYC
Back to food now and these amazing Japanese ice-creams that can be found at Taiyaki, Chinatown, NYC.
6. Brooklyn Bridge
Picture perfect for Instagrammers, Brooklyn Bridge which opened in 1883. At the time, it was the longest suspension bridge. It has been designated a National Historic Landmark by the National Park Service, and a New York City Landmark by the Landmarks Preservation Commission.
The survey carried out by First Direct bank which spoke to 2,000 travellers, said the top 10 coolest destinations are:
