Did You Watch For The People?

For The People, is the latest US drama to hit UK television and it started this week. The court based TV series which is showing on Sky Witness centres around a group of young lawyers working on opposite sides of the law as defenders and prosecutors.

The cast

It’s a great cast and if you like to follow the actors and actresses on social media, I have linked their Twitter accounts below.

Best friends Sandra Bell (Britt Robertson) and Allison Adams (Jasmin Savoy Brown) serve as public defenders alongside Jay Simmons (Wesam Keesh) and their boss, Federal Public Defender Jill Carlan (Hope Davis).

They face off against prosecutors Seth Oliver (Ben Rappaport), Leonard Knox (Regé-Jean Page), Kate Littlejohn (Susannah Flood) and their supervisor, chief of the Criminal Division in the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Roger Gunn (Ben Shenkman).

First episode (No spoilers!!)

The first episode, helped us get to know each of the new characters, their personalities and relationships. And Sandra Bell (hate the character name for her – she doesn’t look like a Sandra!) and Allison Adams were showing me early Meredith and Christina vibes.

Seth Oliver and Kate Littlejohn are also reminding me of Asher and Bonnie from HTGAWM too – but all in a good way.

I’m excited to see how this one is going to play out, especially the relationship between Federal Public Defender Jill Carlan and the chief of the Criminal Division in the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Roger Gunn.

What did you think of the new drama series?
