Seriously, It’s getting ridiculous how many times I think about the Japanese buns they serve, I love them and it’s not often that I use the word love and actually mean it. If you have not paid this Manchester restaurant a visit yet, you have to, and the time should be now, as they have a pretty awesome easter set menu offer.
Gudetama is back and alongside the delicious food on the menu, and there is a free limited edition Creighton’s handmade chocolate to take home *whilst stocks last. And the chance to win 1 of 4 giant Gudetama plush toys and a Creighton’s Gudetama chocolate bundle!
Anyway, back to the food. The easter set menu which is available form the Shoryu New Oxford Street | Shoryu Shoreditch | Shoryu Manchester | and Shoryu Oxford is on offer from the 1 – 21 April.
It is packed full of choice; there are three buns to choose from BBQ Pork Bun, Chicken Karaage Bun and the veggie option Pumpkin Croquette Bun – I opted for the chicken, the yellow bun was filled with soy marinated chicken karaage, iceberg lettuce, cucumber, and hirate sauce with japanese mayo! (mouth is watering as I type this)
There are also three ramen choices; the Shoryu Ganso Tonkotsu, Miso Wafu Chicken and the White Natural – We had both the White Natural and the Miso Wafu Chicken, with soft noodles, and seriously could not get enough. (sort of, the portion sizes are really generous and so I couldn’t finish it all.)
For dessert, the menu offers a choice of three mini ice creams (they are small – but if your full from the food like me, this is good) the flavours include Yuzu, Matcha and Salted Caramel Chocolate – which is the one I tried this time as I have already had the Yuzu and Matcha before, and enjoyed them all.
The easter set menu also includes a drink, Mango Iced Tea, Calpico and a Mojito Loves Calpico.
